A fun sprint triathlon and a challenge for athletes of all abilities. Race as an individual or as a team.
The adult sprint triathlon starts with a 400m open water swim in the beautiful, high-altitude Nottingham Lake in Avon, Colorado. The 15K bike leg takes off from the park and circles through the Singletree neighborhood. The hill through the neighborhood climbs 400′ gently over about 1.7 miles. So it could be called a moderate hill… look at it as a challenge, not a threat! Head back down Highway 6 to Avon and back to the transition area. Transition from your bike and finish with a fast 5K run or walk along the pristine Eagle River paved path while friends and family cheer you on!
The 5K Walk/Run will follow the same course as the triathlon 5K beginning at 8:30 am.
The Kids Splash ‘N Dash Swim/Run Event will begin at 10:30am. Specific race details for the kids races can be found under the kids race tab.
Proceeds from all events are donated to the Vail Valley Charitable Fund.
Race Fees & Registration
Triathlon fees are $65 for individual racers, $90 for a team of two, and $110 for a team of three racers.
5K fee is $30.
Kid’s Duathlon fee is $35.
Entry fees are subject to change at any time. Please note that the online registration closes August 1st at midnight.
Packet Pick-Up
Packet Pick-Up is at Avon Recreation Center from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, August 3rd. We will be allowing people to sign up to race at this time too.
Venue Information – Harry A. Nottingham Park
Parking is at the Beaver Creek Bear Lot at Hwy 6 and Prater Rd/ W. Beaver Creek Road. Please allow yourself time to ride to the transition area for set-up.
The Bear Lot is located about 1 mile west of Beaver Creek Resort’s main gate on Highway 6.
No pets are allowed at Town of Avon sponsored events. This is for the safety of all, including your pets.

Transfer / Refund Policy
In the case of inclement weather, the race director along with the Town of Avon may cancel the race with no alternate date. No refunds will be given.
Divisions
*Adult Triathlon is open to individuals and teams, ages 14 and up.
*Kid’s Splash ‘N Dash Swim/Run Event is open to kids ages 6 – 13.
*All ages and abilities are welcome to participate in the 5K walk/run.
Awards will be given to top 3 finishers in each age division.
Age Group: Top Male / Female Finishers: (24 and under, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+)
Team Division: Top 3 Overall Teams
Top Finishers: Awards to Top Three Finishers in male and female categories. *Note: Top finishers will not receive a second award in Individual Age Group Category
